There were some Brooks in Jackson Co and also another small town near Lyerly. Can't thnk of the name of th town. Will ask hubby. Michelle Anyway there is a Middleton Brooks Rev War hero buried in that cemetary and he is our line.

No that is what keeps confusing me. I found one family all the names were pretty close matches but still not right. I have Ancestry.com, the new census but it has taken hours to search. I'm still searching. I know there are a couple of people who have the entire family history but can't get hold of them. Does anyone know if there is a listing of burials in West Hill Cemetery in Trion? My husband's grandparents Cicero & Elizabeth Rebecca McLeod are buried there. In Cicero's obituary (Thank you Mary) it said that he was to be buried in the "family plot" in the cemetery.
