Ga Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ga/Chattooga/10468 Surname: Sarah E Mcleod, Foster ------------------------- I am looking for history on the home on Foster and TN St's in Lyerly. In 1891 Lyerly was est. (This home was built then. According to what I have been able to put together.) Largely due to Angus Mcleod and his efforts. His second-born child married A. R. Might anyone know anything about this family of Chattooga Co and their home??? I am in touch with Mr. Jones who owns the home. Thanks for any leads to the history of this home and it's family. And thanks to the help of the citizens of Chattooga Co, GA for their kindness. Sincerely, Michelle

Kudos to Anne for all the work she has doen...and still willing to do!!!!
You should check out this page for helpful links. http://www.rootsweb.com/~galumpki/gainfo/ Part of the Georgia Genweb. Donna
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/gafiles.htm Will take you to the GaGenWeb Archives The only problem with the archives is that don't make corrections. Also, I believe the new statement says you lend them permanently If the new County Coordinator would like to upload them to the website, I would be glad to make the webpages for you. Carolyn and Ken Johnson are in charges of additions to the Archives for the GaGenweb for Chattooga County and I believe that he offered to help also. I would say it is your choice. Donna Parrish
Anne, I would suggest the marriage information should go in the county archives and Ken Johnson, who is on this list, is the archive manager (Ken@pro-usa.net). Yes the archives are accessable to anyone free or I would not post info on them! (UsGenWeb.org then select table of states - select Georgia - select archives - select counties - select chattooga lots of good data there) Anne - you have done a great service to all of us searching for roots in Chattooga County Georgia. I say BRAVO, GOOD FOR YOU, MARVELIOUS, WONDERFUL, SPARKLING, APPLAUSE, FEET STOMPING. Thank you thankyou thankyou! And that is just speaking for myself.
