Rogers "History of Chattahoochee County, Georgia", published 1933, page 344, 345: William and Mariah HOUSE had 2 dau: (1) Mary E. (b 25 Apr 1821, d 8 Mar 1897) md Nimrod Nelson HOWARD (b 10 Dec 1817, d 14 Jan 1884); and (2) "Evaline who m. Harrison Thomas, a native of Virginia, and resident of Upson Co. Ga. in 1827 when he had a draw in that land lottery. Harrison and Evaline House Thomas had only one dau. who d. young at their home near Cusseta. They reared five sons viz: Malcolm, m. Lucy Stokes; Alvah m. Clara Watkins; Charles, Lafayette and R. K. Thomas." Per Rogers page 275, when Alvah D. THOMAS md Clara WADKINS 4 Dec 1878, the marriage was performed by J. O. A. COOK, a Minister of Gospel. There's always the slight possibility that it was the same church that the Thomas's attended and that the grave could be in that church's cemetery. Page 382 has extract of will for William HOUSE, dated 13 May 1858, probated October term 1859. Mentions wife Mariah, daughters Mary Elizabeth HOWARD, Sarah Evaline THOMAS. Executers sons-in-law Nimrod HOWARD and Harrison THOMAS. Is all of this old news, or does some of it help?
