Many people traveled to Chattahoochee from Wilkes. I am researching (ha!) two lines of House... Mary, b. 1821, sister of Evelyn, m. Nimrod Howard, and Linnie, c. 1800 m. Walker. Also, Lincoln county was once part of Wilkes, and I have that Mary was born in Lincoln County. Happy Hunting! This is a dead-end for me, too.
