We have received so much wonderful assistance from Ft. Benning personnel and I'm delighted to share with you the map they have provided. The KEY point we always need to keep in mind is that everyone MUST obtain permission before visiting the cemeteries. Directions are on these pages, so please follow them. It is my understanding that they are always very helpful to visitors, but you must make arrangements prior to your visit. This map needs Adobe Viewer, however, so I apologize if some of you do not have this program. It can be downloaded for free, if you are interested. To compensate for this, and to also make the map more manageable, I've created two listings of the Cemeteries within Ft. Benning boundaries. One is an alphabetical listing....which also gives the # showing it on the map. The second listing is numerical to help you get around the map. Basically, numbering begins at the top left hand corner -- moves to the right---and then downward. So if the cemetery you're looking for is number #55...then you know you'll need to scroll pretty far down the map. I welcome your suggestions to make this more usable! And we're working to get these cemeteries on-line....if you have family information, please share it. Virginia
