Hello, all. My name is Ms. Daryl Jenkins - I live in Atlanta - but was born and grew up in Savannah - and have subscribed to this group for some time. My grandparents, Edwin and Lida Mae Jenkins, had a dairy, Jenkins Dairy, which consisted of around 100 acres on White Bluff Road from the 1920s to 1942. According to my Aunt Eleanor (I just called her for this info), there was a conglomeration about 5 dairies on White Bluff. A Greek man by the name of Manilla Thomas, owned the dairy next to ours and our dairy was sold to him in 1942. Next to Mr. Thomas was a lady by the name of Mrs. Page who owned another dairy. Both the Thomas and Page dairy were smaller than ours. Across White Bluff Road was a dairy owned by the White's and next to the White's was a dairy owned by the Pitchlor family (Spelling could be incorrect). Also in the area was the Harm's Dairy. Hope this info helps someone out. If anyone needs to dig further, I will ask my Aunt to try to rack her brain. Warm regards, Daryl
