Thanks for all the answers to my query. I was looking at the 1930 census records at the library this morning and at the time the relatives who worked at the dairy lived on Waters Ave. and on White Bluff Rd., so maybe it was the dairy on White Bluff Rd. that they worked at. My mother had always told me that the dairy was off of DeRenne, but she might have had the story wrong since they worked there before she was born. I'm not sure where Avondale or Mississippi Avenue are. I haven't lived in Savannah since I was 8 years old--41 years ago!--but I do get to visit occasionally.
