I have started looking a little harder into another family line…BLAKEWOOD/SHICK/STROBHART. Ann Winefred BLAKEWOOD, (b: April 1, 1821 in St. Luke Parish, SC, m: July 14, 1864 in Hardeeville SC, W.J.E. Fripp, Pastor M.E. Ch., Father: James B. BLAKEWOOD, Mother: Hannah Ritter SHICK) married first: Edward E. F. RICKER, a carpenter who died of pneumonia on January 30, 1854 in Purysburg SC then she married: Thomas Morgan TURNER b: Abt 1811 in Philadelphia PA, Profession: Pharmacist (was this man the Mayor of Savannah at one time?) Thomas M. TURNER was first married to: +Sophia Marshall FELL, b: September 1801 in GA d: November 1859 in Savannah GA m: March 8, 1831, Father: Isaac FELL, Mother: Elizabeth (Betsey) SHICK (daughter of John, but I'm not sure which one). Thomas and Sophia had the following children: ..... 2 Sophia M. TURNER b: Abt 1835 ..... 2 George TURNER b: Abt 1837, Profession: Lawyer ..... 2 Mary TURNER b: Abt 1843 ..... 2 William M. B. TURNER b: Abt 1846 ..... 2 Amanda L. TURNER b: Abt 1837 This gets even more mixed up: Sophia Marshall FELL was first married to: William R. Holland (b: Abt 1798 in SC, d: September 1824) on April 6, 1821. He was a druggist. I am not sure if there were children from this marriage. They lived on Broughton St./Heathcote I saw a posting on the Genforum board, by a Deborah Turner Lanier, but it was an old posting and her e-mail address had evaporated, so I could not get in touch with her. She mentioned in the posting that her family was from Savannah. Does anyone on the list know her? Does anyone on the list know of the people mentioned above? Susan Marshall [email protected]
