    3. The majority of my ancestors and relatives are listed in the Effingham County Cemeteries book, not the Ft. Stewart Cemeteries book by Mr. May. I have the Effingham County Cemeteries book as well as the Ft. Stewart Cemeteries book and confused the two of them. Stewart Cemeteries I am fortunate to have a copy of Mr. May's book that lists so many of my ancestors and relatives.! I am not a typist but I'm willing to help if the cemetery is not a very large one that requires a lot of typing. Thank you Mr. May for this excellent book. Stewart Cemeteries I have just received permission from Wyman May to post on-line his wonderful cemetery records for Ft. Stewart. I have not seen the book, but I understand there are 48 cemeteries listed. (This is no longer available for purchase, but it is probably in most area libraries. Please share this information as well, if you know of a library which does have the book) I am hoping that we can build a team of people who have the book and are willing to type up a few cemeteries. Please drop me a note if you can help out. > As we share this information, I'd also like to add details from individuals who might know more about those buried there. > The heading for these cemeteries should always give credit to Wyman May for his work, and list him as the copyright holder and "not to be used for profit by any person or organization". > I am so grateful for his generosity in sharing this, and know that it will benefit so many people who are not able to make the trip there themselves. We must always remember that as we sit comfortably at our computers, Mr. May spent hours and hours in surveying --- a very dirty, hot and tedious job! > > Virginia Crilley > Virginia Crilley ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
