I was sent your posting from Ancestry or Chatham County Ancestry, I am not sure which. The posting was referencing George L (Lafayette) Robertson. I am George L. and Rebecca Johnstone Roberstsons 2nd great-grandson. I would love to share information on the Robertsons. Have been actively researching them this summer. Look foreward to sharing. Sincerly John Bradford JIB2163@aol.com
You received the posting from Chatham County as that is the one I belong to. Way back on May 20 I saw a posting from Jvmason to rootsweb. It was a reply to Jim (Redibis1@aol.com) with the lookup of Rebecca Robertson in the 1860 census. I had corresponded with Jim and we were not sure if our families linked. I was asking Judy to look in the census for John Forrest Robertson since she volunteered to look up other Robertsons in that census or the 1850 census.. My Mother was a Robertson prior to her marriage and was raised in Savannah along with numerous cousins. She used to talk about all the fun they had at Tybee, etc. Her mother was a Haupt prior to marriage. Do you think we are connected?
