    3. Hi all Do hope someone could help me. On my grandfather's birth certificate it stated that he worked for O.S.S. Co., as a clerk. Does anyone know what the initials O.S.S. stand for. What type of business this was. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. I live overseas and it is hard for me to try and get any info. Among their ships were The City of Atlanta and the City of Savannah. My grandfather was a captain with this line for several years during the depression. Bill
