OK, here's one way to find out about Savannah city directories. Go to www.familysearch.org. Select Family History Library Catalog. Search by PLACE (e.g. Savannah part of Georgia) Being as the LDS folks film just about everything public, the FHL Catalog is great place to see what's publicly available. And, if you order the microfilm for a few dollars, you can read Savannah city directories without leaving your hometown. :-) Frank J. I'm interested in Stephen Hattrich, a tailor at 213 Charlton Street, & his father-in-law Charles Ludwig Schreck. On another line, I'm looking for Hart Solomons and his sons Edward W. and Samuel Solomons. Hart would have died before 1840. Another relative of this group is Michael Brown from the 1820s. I can't seem to get down to Savannah. Guess I will eventually.
