You were right in assuming that it was free because when they post new sites they are supposed to be free for 10 days. I do belong to Ancestry.com but did have to login in order to view the Savannah Directories. I was able to find information on some of my families that I did not have before BUT, I have photo copies from the Georgia Historical Society of actual pages of the Savannah City Directory for those years with my main surname I research and when I put in that surname I get a "no records found" which would be incorrect.
