I will be in Savannah next weekend and would like to spend some time working on my family history. Can anyone tell me if there is a library with a research room or a historical society? Thanks Cheryl Flowers

The Chatham-Effingham County Library may be open. The Georgia Historical Society may be open on Saturday but you need to check. The Chatham County Courthouse will probably not be open. The weekend is NOT the best time to do research. You can check on hours for all of these by searching on www.google.com for Chatham County and for Georgia Historical Society. They are all good research places.
