ELLIOTT and SOLOMONS Usually I just read and listen, but today I have questions. I have an Esther Elliott born Feb. 20, 1780. She married Saul Solomons and lived in Beaufort District,SC, but may be connected to the Savannah Wylly family. Her son John Graves Solomons married Sarah Matilda Dasher daughter of Solomon Dasher and Maria Wylly (Maria was daughter of Thomas and Naomi Wylly of Effingham County...Thomas was the son of William and Catherine Wylly of Cherokee Hill Plantation near Savannah.) Esther Elliott Solomons' other sons were named Henry Elliott Solomons, Samuel Solomons, William P. Solomons and Elliott Gibson Solomons. I am aware that the Elliotts were married into the Habersham and Wylly families. Saul Solomons b.about 1775 in Germany came to Charleston,SC. He had a younger brother Hart Solomons who lived the latter part of his life in Savannah. They operated a cotton factoring business together between Savannah and Beaufort District,SC. I know where Saul and his children are buried in Beaufort District,SC, but what became of Hart Solomons and his family in Savannah? Hart had two sons: Edward W. and Samuel Solomons. Also there were daughters: Freelove E., Caroline, Mary (married a Williams), Priscilla Ann (married a Burk). In 1842 (according to a deed ) Hart and Samuel Solomons were already dead, but the other children were still alive. Where? Carolyn Ramsay
