Jan, I think I may been in contact with you before on the McElveen, but just to be sure, what McElveen line are you researching? My husband's line is from William E. McElveen, Jr. ( W.E., III--in some genealogies) & 2nd wife, American Ann Cone>Moses Jackson McElveen>Wilbur V. McElveen. Also, the Duggar line: I have been trying to sort out parents/siblings, etc on a Welthy Ann Duggar who was the 2nd? wife of George J. McElveen, also a son of Wm. E. McElveen, Jr. with 1st wife, Betsy Wise. THERE IS KNOW ROLL CALL THAT WAS DONE BY MISTAKE,PLEASE EVERYONE TAKE IT OUT OF YOUR SUBJECT LINE.
Dawn, I saw the name of BRYAN in your Roll Call and thought it was for a BRYAN family. I just looked at it again and realized that you were referring to the BRYAN County. Please excuse me for not paying attention. My husband's BRYAN family was part of the second one. They were in Craven Co, NC in 1773 and sold their land there, and arrived down in old Barnwell Dist, SC in 1774, where William and Simon (brothers) fought in the Rev. War. The area they owned is now part of Allendale Co, SC. Many of their descendant BRYANs moved across the Savannah River to what is now Screven Co, GA and many also moved into Chatham Co. Some of the Screven Co Bryans went back and forth from Savannah to Sylvania or other areas around there. If you can tell me which BRYANs you have I may be able to help you. I just published my 3d edition of "This Bryan Family" book, but I always help people with some info on their own line. During the years when I was doing so much research on them, I also researched that other BRYAN family that was in Savannah and Charleston, to be sure they were not part of the other BRYAN line. The BRYAN county was named for that other BRYAN family, too. Judy

The RICHARDSONs I mentioned were ancestor of my mother's first cousin, Mildred Richardson Summerell. My mother died in 1968 and I was a young mother at the time and Mildred became my "2d mother" in a lot of ways. As I grew older she could tell me many things about the family that I had never thought to ask my mother. We became very close before she died a couple of years ago. I miss her. Judy
