Could Esther Elliott have been a daughter Grey Elliot who was prominent in Georgia in Colonial times? There are several web pages mentioning him. One shows an item of paper currency he signed: Georgia: 1766-1767
Issue means any offsprings or children belonging to that couple. Most genealogists do use this term. Example... John Smith and Mary (Doe) Smith married 4/14/1895. Issue: 1. Elaine 2. William

Charles - there are a couple of EADYs in Laurel Grove in the same plot with my husband's gr-gr-grandmother, Elizabeth Virginia Pettus SYKES. Here is the list of those in that Plot: Laurel Grove Directory: Lot #1302 Isabella PETTIS d 10-14-1864 Savannah, Chatham Co, GA age 62y 5 mo, native of NC, Res: Henry St. (she was mother of Elizabeth Virginia PETTUS.) In same lot are: Sidney BINGHAM, Edward R EADY, Emily E EADY, Emmie EADY, John EADY, Edward A NIX, Sarah P(ettis?) NIX, Julia RICH, Margaret RICH, Mary SHULER (b 1860, d: August 03, 1889) Elizabeth V SYKES (she died March 14, 1872 from effects of childbirth and infant is buried with her.) Lela SYKES (b: August 1866), William E SYKES (b: April 09, 1869). Other than Elizabeth and her mother, we do not know the connections of these others. The first child of Elizabeth was named Ida Amanda PETTUS. She later took the name of SYKES. She lived with the family of Dr. KOLLOCK after her mother's death and married Dr Jeremiah Wesley BRINSON of Jefferson Co, GA, who had studied medicine under Dr KOLLOCK. They moved to Wrightsville, Johnson Co, GA after their marriage. Judy Canant
Hey Susan - I have been meaning to ask if you can find my grandmother's sister, Martha "Matt" & "Mattie" Miller KRENSON. She was the wife of Alex KRENSON and I know that she was buried in an old cemetery, and I think I remember my mother telling me it was Bonaventure. I know she is not in Laurel Grove. Thanks for looking. Judy
