Browning's marriage to James Madison Davis on 9/21/1871 <from Carroll Co., Ga Marriage liscenses 1827-1980>. Yes, finding out the true ancestry of the A.S. Cartwright mentioned in the power of attorney will still need to be figured out. I am also interested in any other information you might have on Mary Ann Howard or J.M. Davis's ancestry.
