My gggg/Grandparents, William and Mary (ORR) BRYCE/BRICE arrived in this country c 1799 from Scotland. They brought two children with them, Mary and Elizabeth. Two children, Agnes and Thomas, remained in Scotland, reason unknown. They settled in Union District, (now Columbia), South Carolina, and had either eight or nine more children. About 1825 they moved to DeKalb County, Georgia, to a villiage later called Ingleside, where they were two of eight co-founders of the Decatur Presbyterian Church. A son, James, b 1806 in S. C., and his wife, Eleanor (R. Sharp), established a store at Harttown, near Atlanta. Another son, John, b 1807 in S.C., married Elizabeth (Heard) and remained in Decatur. By 1827, William and Mary were in Carrollton, Georgia, where, it is assumed, they lived the rest of their lives. I am interested in any info and/or advise on obtaining info in re this family.
