    3. I can only give you some clues..my own family of Custers and Keowns and Youngs, came to Karnes and Live Oak Counties in Texas, from Marion Co. Ala. In Live Oak Co my GGF had a neighbor, John T. Curry who had married a Narcissa Waller, and is listed in the history books as being Alabama born. He was a Civil War Veteran. He was in Texas in 1861 and his name is on the ratification list to secede from the Union. (Narcissa was the daughter of Henderson Waller, and the marriage took place in Texas). Henderson Waller was in Texas by 1856, and came from Tennessee, his wife was Sophia Warren Hardwick, in case you can connect names out of the past. Live Oak was settled early after the Revolution by Irish from Ireland, but after Texas joined the Union in 1845, many Irish started migrating from Alabama. Other Alabama names are Edwards, Young, Pugh, Brennan, King, James, Rix, Ryan and many others. I hope somehow this might lead you to Alabama then to Texas. Just a longshot.
