Richard, I was noticing the same thing. Both my Wrens and McWhorters moved to Cullman and, as I've put in more names in my family tree, I noticed some of my Paynes moved also. Some of the McWhorters ended up in Etowah and Blount counties (AL) too. My Wrens married into the Cochran family and I think I have a Brock or two in my Paynes. In fact, William's second marriage to Mrs. Bentley must have had the family blessing. One of the witnesses on the marriage certificate is "C.C. Cochran," his late wife's brother-in-law! I would be interested to know if anyone has any ideas on this. I know the Atlanta area was devastated by the war, but my migrations were long after that --- at least 30 years. Anybody got answers? Opinions? Ideas? Judy
