Recently there was a post to this list from someone regarding the Carroll County census. If anyone has the index I would so much appreciate a look-up for 1870. I have not been able to find Silas TANNER or Sarah Adeline TANNER anywhere in 1870. He reportedly died in 1875 (place unk) and in 1880 she and the kids are back in Cherokee Co., AL. As he had connections in Carroll Co, GA I thought maybe he was there in 1870. They were married in Polk Co., GA in 1860. It is a long shot but nothing else has worked.
