Sorry, y'all ... I forgot two things: 1. I have seen files on the net that give Rev. Leroy's full name as "Leroy Jackson McWhorter." Can someone tell me where this information came from? If it is true, I'd love to be able to add a full name to my ancestor. In his will, Leroy gives his name simply as "Leroy McWhorter." 2. Eliza J. Wren (my great-grandmother), who married William Leroy McWhorter (son of Moses McWhorter and Sarah Kinney), is seen in some places as "Lemer," "Lizer," "Limer," and "Lima." Her name was "Eliza." "Lima" was her nickname. On her marriage certificate, her surname name is written, "Wrenn." Since her father, William Wren, and all the relatives I've come across spell it with one "n." I think we can safely say that this is a clerk's error. Thanks for listening. I hope responses to both my messages will be posted to the list so we can all share in this controversy and maybe get some things resolved. Judy
