Seeking information on family of James Wilson and Elizabeth Toler Wilson of Heard Co., GA. In the book, The Heritage of Heard County, this couple is said to have had the following children: 1. James E. Wilson 2. Martha Wilson, m. William H. Wren 3. William Wilson 4. Celia Elizabeth (Eliza) Wilson b. 31 July 1840 m. Newton Alexander McWhorter on 13 Dec 1860 in Carroll Co., GA 5. Clementine or Cordelia Wilson m. a Simkins 6. Sarah J. Wilson m. a Johnson 7. Nancy Ann Lucinda Wilson b. 7 May 1843 m. (1) D. Franklin McWhorter (brother of Newton, above) on 29 March 1860 in Carroll Co., GA and (2) Charles M. Stroud Martha Wilson, above, who married William Wren had a daughter, Eliza J, Wren, who married William Leroy McWhorter in Carroll Co.in 1878, nephew of Newt and Franklin, above. Eliza and William are my great-grandparents. I also have a Fleman Louella Wilson in Carroll County who married Fleming Caleb (Cale) Payne in 1875. Would like to know if she is related to these same Wilsons. Caleb's niece, Sarah Jane Payne, married John Allen McWhorter, son of Eliza and William. (Yeah ... it really gets tangled after a while, doesn't it?) Martha Wilson Wren is my GGgrandmother and Caleb's brother, Joseph Joshua Payne, is my great-grandfather.
