Looking for information on ancestors of my great-grandmother ELIZA J. WREN. Father was WILLIAM WREN, b. 20 April 1835, d. 13 April 1895. Her mother was (maybe) MARTHA WILKERSON, b. 13 May 1836 (?), d. 12 Sept. 1923, buried Bethel Churchyard, Hwy. 113, Temple, Carroll Co., GA. (She may have been a step-mother...John and Eliza were born a year and a half apart...the next child didn't come along for 9 years...very unusual) Children of William Wren and Martha Wilkerson: .....JOHN C. WREN, b. 8 Feb 1858, d. 16 June 1903, buried Emeus Baptist Church, Cullman, AL. I found a file on Rootsweb that had John C. Wren with these birth and death dates marrying an EMILY AMERICA ALSABROOK, b. 30 Dec. 1853 in Heard Co. Many of their children listed in this file were also born in Heard County. WREN, b. 5 March 1875, d. 24 March 1964, buried Emeus Baptist Church, Cullman, married Haley ---- .....WALTER WREN, b. 9 March 1878, d. 22 April 1958, buried Emeus Baptist church, Cullman .....LUCY WREN (Stallion), no birth or death dates .....LIZZIE WREN (Cruise) no birth or death dates .....TEMPY or TEMPIE WREN (Thomson) no birth or death dates. Children of Leroy McWhorter and Eliza Wren are: 1. Eliza Della McWhorter, 1880-1905. m. Carl Bealzley (?) 2. John Allen McWhorter, 1882-1938 (my grandfather), m. Sarah Jane Payne 3.
