Bill, Also meant to say that it does not cost anything to use the genealogical society library collection which is housed at the public library in Carrollton, GA, it is free for anyone to use like any library. I mentioned joining the Genealogical Society for Carroll County because I feel it is well worth the annual fee to get the quarterly publications that are full of great info such as old deed records, marriage records, old newspaper obits and queries from other researchers of Carroll County,GA families. If one lives close to Carrollton area, could just go see what is at the library there which will include the old genealogy (and probably current one) quarterly publications also, but if one lives too far to get there very often, the quarterly publications are a great way to stay in touch with researchers in that area and to receive historical information about the area and families who lived there. I refer back to the data in the quarterly publications quite alot, especially when I learn of new surnames or family connections, and usually find something in them which is helpful. And of course, always good to be able to join the societies such as these to help support their efforts so they can continue providing the great service. Candace
