    1. Re: [GACARROL] Area in Carroll that became Haralson Co
    2. Good question! The answer may be found in the new Carroll Co. Heritage book. For full details, contact: MaryFlo Word [email protected] We were certainly thrilled with the new book. Many of the Haralson County Districts were in what used to be Carroll County. Happy Hunting! I am searching for some families on that census, and it would be much easier if I knew sort of where to look. Thanks a lot. LarealiaGet more from the Web. 1. [GACARROL] Old Carroll Co. Courthouse
    2. In the new book I see a picture of the old courthouse. I can't tell for sure from the picture, but I was told by my mother that the courthouse was originally in the square uptown. Younger people have told me they think it has always been where it is now. Does anyone know? Larealia CampGet more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com

    3. Hello all! Latest word is that some of the books are leaving today, the rest are leaving on Monday. UPS from Missouri (manufacturing facility) to nearly all US addresses is 3 days. As previously stated, we had to have special cardboard boxes made, since the book is so huge. We know it will be worth the wait! 1. [GACARROL] Directions/Heritage Book
    2. Thanks, everybody, for the directions. Been there ... got the book ... it is AWESOME! They do have extra copies but I'd hurry. The cost if you go there and pick one up is $64.20. I got another one for my mother for an early Mother's Day present. (Hope she's not listening ... don't y'all tell, now). Cecilia, the street you turn on is White Street. Many thanks for all the help. 1. [GACARROL] The Heritage of Carroll Co., GA 1826-2001 shipping update
    2. County Heritage, Inc.
    3. Carroll County, GA Friends: A final postscript to the message below, for those who paid to have their books individually shipped. Seems we had to wait for special boxes to be manufactured (the book was far larger/thicker than we expected or ever dreamed!) These boxes will arrive at our home office on Friday the 19th. Our best guess now is that they will ship the following week. Let me repeat, the book will be worth the wait! Incidentally, there are a limited number of extra books, but only while they last. You may e-mail committee members for details: Mary Flo Word [email protected] Dr. David Wiggins [email protected] Gwyn Chesnut [email protected] Betty Jo Parsons [email protected] Violet Denney [email protected] Thanks to all for your patience, let us know if we may answer any more questions. 2. Crilley
    3. Sue Moore shared this file.... and do let us know if you can make corrections on these names... Isn't this wonderful to see such an old document!! I believe I'm correct in saying that to be on the Grand Jury you had to be a property owner. They also had Petit Jury and this one you just needed to be over 21....didn't need to own property. I think the selection process would be at random more or less like it is done today....and probably so many from each Military District. Inferior Court of Carroll County Georgia, Monday 3rd June 1833 The Inferior Court met for the purpose of revising and selecting Grand Jurors for said county and the following named pers. were selected as Grand Jurors. Present their Honors WM. G. SPRINGER, JAMES H. RODGERS, SANDFORD KINGSBERY & JOSEPH LITTLE, ESQRS. Registered the 4th June 1833 WM. L.
