I stumbled onto an untapped gold mine when I was finally able to visit the Coweta County Genealogical Society's library and research center in Grantville. First, they have much information relating to Campbell County and many other counties in Georgia, and Alabama, including some censuses on microfilm. Second, when you join, you receive their quarterly newsletter which, since fall of 1990, includes information about Campbell County. Back issues are indexed (back to Spriing 1982) and may be ordered for a small fee. If the complete issue is not available, they will make a copy for you for a fee. I'm making a little headway on my husband's grandmother, Ira Belle Anderson Jackson. I found Belle's parents (Mr. & Mrs. Newberry S. Anderson) on the 1900 Carroll Co., GA census. They died in1910, apparently before the census was taken. I have 9 known children but there may have been some born between 1900 and 1910. Somehow, daughter Ada was in Cullman Co., AL marrying John H. Mitchell in 1910 and daughter Belle was in Cullman Co., AL marrying McCager Jackson. Of the nine children I know about, I've still not conclusively accounted for Verdie (did she marry a Wiggins and a Brown in Carroll Co.?) James (narry a clue on him. Did he move to Cullman Co. and bring Ada and Belle with him?) Virgie (did she marry a Bonner?) Descendants of Newberry Anderson Generation No. 1 1. Looking for information on ancestors of my great-grandmother ELIZA J. WREN. Father was WILLIAM WREN, b. 20 April 1835, d. 13 April 1895. Her mother was (maybe) MARTHA WILKERSON, b. 13 May 1836 (?), d. 12 Sept. 1923, buried Bethel Churchyard, Hwy. 113, Temple, Carroll Co., GA. Researching the family of Wilson Stallings (b. ca 1801 in NC) who married Susannah Smith in 1822 in Greene County, GA, and who moved to Carroll County, GA by 1828. Wilson Stallings daughter Mary A. F. Stallings (b. 1824 in Greene County, GA) married Joel C. Ashley in 1843 in Carroll County, GA and they moved to Burleson County, Texas in 1864 where Joel C. Ashley died in 1868. Mary A.F. Stallings Ashley then moved back to Carroll County, GA where she died in 1892. The known children of Joel C. Ashley and Mary Stallings were: Henry L.
