Fran, According to two sources, John S. Royal b 27 Jan 1784, d 12 Dec 1816 m 1st 5 Sep 1811 Harriet Godbee b 1785, d 6 Feb 1829. He m Civility Carter 13 Aug 1829. One source does not show parents of John S., and the other lists his father as John Royal Sr. b 1731 d before 1774--that would make John S. born 10 years after his father's death!!!
