Recently I came across an article in the old Springfield Herald, of Effingham County, Ga. The article was published on April 16, 1990. Copies also submitted to Effingham County News and ENTERPRIZE-GAZETTE. The submitter was called the "MT. PILGRIM MISSIONARY SOCIETY." Can anyone idenify this society, or the name Mt. Pilgrim? It is obvious from the text that it may well have been from a close area near Effingham Co. The article is in reference to the death of a young "Christian worker" who had recently deceased. His name was GEORGE GROVENSTEIN. A series of resolutions had been set forth and signed by three committee members. One of who I am very interested in, for reaearch purposes.
