Davis is not jumping out at me in Lost Arcadia....but I did find a John Davis married to a Maria Ingram in Burke Co in 1804. Could that be the one? (Some GA County Records Vol 4) 1820 Census lists the following Davis's: Celia, Elnathan, Robbin, Samuel, Sarah, Simeon, Thomas, William. Later in the 1800's Davis Marriages listed are: Asa, Wilson, John ( to Catherine Owen in 1864), Tober, and Henry. There is a John F. Davis listed on page 128 of the 1830 Burke Co census. You might want to look at that one on microfilm. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
