Patsy, I have a copy of the 1830 Burke Co., GA. microfilm for JOHN F. DAVIS, who was living in close proximity to NEWTON PERKINS' and his children's families (his in-laws). I know this is insane, but I lose John F.'s family 1840-1850, and next find him in 1857 Holmes Co., Fl. purchasing land. I believe because of locality and naming patterns that John F. may have been the son or grandson of FRANCIS DAVIS, who received an English Crown Grant in St. George Parrish. THANKS!
