Patsy, Could you check if there was a Newton Marion DAVIS , or John F. DAVIS Jr. listed among the Burke Co. Confederate Soldiers. Both, were the right age to serve, and while the family was in Dale Co., Al. at the time I have been unable to locate any records for them in Al. So, maybe they went back home to Burke Co. to enlist. I know it's a long shot, but I would appreciate the effort.
