I have seen several questions regarding the railways and the history here in these areas. I have several extensive articles and histories regarding the subject that i have collected over the years. I also am in contact with a local railroad historian and can perhaps answer some of your questions. the articles and published histories of these railway in this area are quite well done, including some photos. They can be found in local libraries. If you are not in area I can copy and send them to you. The histories run into each other of course as the rail lines grew over the years. And they changed hands quite often. Unfortunately, there is not much background on the actual working men, just those who financed or started the lines. But, my contact mentioned above may be able to answer some of your questions, or offer more reading material. This person is just so thorough in his interest-is not on line-and has done many historical booklets for our local Historical Society. Just send me your questions. If you want hard copies of the articles I hve send me your mailing address please. Too much to just scan and send. I too hve a general interest in the industry as some of my ancestors started those beganning logging lines, or worked for for them. This is why I have the material.
