HI Everyone, I am new to the list and I look forward to much help locating my Georgia link to FL Spears families. John SPEARS, born abt. 1809 in GA, moved with his family before 1830 to Walton Co. FL. There were two Spears households in Walton at that time--John SPEARS and James SPEARS. John is the son of either James or John, but there is no way to know from the Census data. The Spears famiies likely came from NC to GA, after 1790. They were closely associated with KNIGHT, GRIFFIN and maybe PARISH. John (1809) married Malinda GRIFFIN, I believe to be the daughter of John GRIFFIN. This is not much to go on, but please help me out.
