    2. Joan and Huie Landrum
    3. Thanks for all the good information on the Maryland Whitaker family. I will go over it when I have time and try to link it to some of my Whitakers. My Eliphalet, son of Jonathan Whitaker, was born at Huntington, Long Island, NY and went with his father and family to Somerset Co., NJ in the 1740's. He built a house there and his children were born there. In 1777 he bought a house and property at Faggs Manor, Chester Co., Pa which he sold about 1783. He was in Havre de Grace, MD for awhile with his son Platt Whitaker and left sometime after that for Burke Co., GA. Platt,s children were Sally, John Platt, Nathaniel B., Albert, Edwin, Platt, Eliza, Mary Rogers, Alfred Eliphalet, Ruth, and James Bayles Whitaker. I don't know how my Jonathan Whitaker line connects with the Maryland line that you sent but will look into it. Again, thanks, and if I find any connection with the Alexander family I will get in touch.
