William Bland William Bland and Susannah were married in North Carolina and moved to Bulloch County, Ga., probably in 1816, when their eldest, and at the time their only child, Jemima, was a baby. They became members of old Parrish Church, Primitive Baptist. The church building was destroyed by fire and the congregation built a new house of worship about two miles distant which is now known as "Upper Lott's Creek Church." There is a large and well kept cemetery on the grounds and it is here that William and Susannah were buried.
