Mary Ann GROOVER (my great-grandmother, was b. in 1852 in Liberty Co., GA. She m. Columbus WELLS on 29 Nov 1877. They had 6 children including: 1. Lula WELLS m. Frank CARTER (my direct line) 2. Beulah WELLS m. --- CARTER 3. Janie WELLS m. Leonard McINTIRE 4. Leila WELLS m. Grant Gideon POPPELL 5. ---- WELLS 6. Lonnie WELLS m. Charles KEATON Mary Ann GROOVER was the daughter of Charles A. GROOVER, b. 1829, Bulloch Co., GA, d. 20 Dec 1873, Liberty Co., GA. He was married on 13 Aug 1851 to Rebecca ROBERTSON, b. 1832, d. 27 Jan 1887. I'm trying to gain information on my "grandfather", named Frank Carter, or Robert Franklin Carter as I've been told was his name (he died before my birth).
