I received a couple of responses asking for the children of James H. Brown and Roxann Boyett, so I am posting to the list. Roxann also had a child before she married James. Another researcher wrote to say that someone else has the father of James H. Brown listed as Joseph Manning Brown, but all the children's names are the same as the children Joey listed for Joseph Emanuel Brown. He died on 15 Dec 1917 and was buried in Evergreen Baptist Cemetery. Jim married Roxann BOYETT, daughter of Seth BOYETT and Patience MOORE. Roxann was born on 8 Nov 1838. She died on 3 Jun 1906. He died on 9 Sep 1940 in Candler Co., GA. Owned the first water works and first electrical power plant in Metter, GA. Served as mayor of Metter in 1913 and 1914. W. Jasper BROWN married Canvacy DEKLE, daughter of Littleton DEKLE (CW) and Susan WARREN, about 1887 in Emanuel Co., GA. Canvacy was born on 17 Jun 1848 in Emanuel Co., GA. She died on 3 Dec 1934 in Candler Co., GA. Spelled on census as Canvacey. W. Jasper BROWN and Canvacy had the following children: + 9 M i.
