Nathaniel (Nathan) William McClain5 Hodges (Joseph4, Joshua3, Francis2, Joseph E.1) was born October 16, 1785 in North Carolina, and died in Lowndes County, Georgia. He married ???. Notes for Nathaniel (Nathan) William McClain Hodges: Nathan was born in North Carolina. The family moved to Bulloch County, Georgia at an early date, before 1800. Nathan married but the name of his wife is not known. They had nine children. Nathan was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Tattnall County before moving to Lowndes County, and in 1822, 1823, and 1824, was a delegate from his church to the Piedmont Association. (Ref.
