Do you have Alvaretta Kenan Register's "Bulloch County, Ga Genealogical Research Material", available for sale from the Statesboro Library, [email protected]? I think you will find a WORLD of information about them in that book. > I have a note that I added at some point on page 148...since my computer was hacked right after the election last November, I have no reference. Anyway, I have added to her page 148 this note: [Sarah McCall was the step-sister to my Elinor "Nelly" McCall who married McKeen Green, so Sarah would have been step aunt to my Jane Harris Green who married Michael Henderson in 1809 in Bulloch County, GA.] from Alvaretta's book, p. 148..."Mrs. Sarah Stewart, widow of Alexander Stewart, became Mrs. Sarah Everitt, wife of Hardy Everitt and he requested that the case be transferred to Screven County. Screven County records show that the marriage occurred 1 May 1842. (Note by contributing editor: She was originally Sarah McCall, dau. of Charles McCall and Hannah Everett McCall [2nd wife]; married 1st Simon Alexander Fraser of Liberty Co.; he died and she married 2nd Jeremiah Halsey in Chatham Co.; 3rd Alexander Stewart; then 4th Hardy Everitt. akr). > I believe the above came from Minute Book X, 1815-1843, Bulloch County, Georgia records. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, April 02, 2001 > Subject: McCall > > Hi Carol, Remember me, Frank's friend? I was just reading a post you made to the Bulloch list and saw that you are researching the surname McCall. I am researching the Lee line for my oldest two children, and just recently found out their 3rd great grandparents were William Lee & Sarah McCall. Sarah was born about 1825. They were married in Bulloch County, so I believe she was probably from Bulloch. I just began researching the McCall line and I think she may have been the daughter of John E. McCall from Bulloch. John E. was the son of Charles McCall & Hannah Everett. I am wondering if this might be the same McCall line you are researching and if you may have any idea as to > whether I am on the right track or not. Any help would be most appreciated. > Thanks, Deb >>
