Hi, I am new to the Edgefield list and hope someone can help me with my McLindon family research in Edgefield County, SC. My ancestor, William Henry McClelland (McLenon/McLindon) came from Edgefield County, SC to Bulloch County, GA where he married Mahitable ("Hattie") Cone. I strongly suspect my William Henry McClelland is one of the sons of Taltern McLindon and Avery (maiden name unknown) from Edgefield County, SC. Taltern McLindon is shown in the 1850 Edgefield County, SC census with five children: William, Mary, Martha, John, and Emaline.
