I excited about your Dekle link. If your daughter in law is descended from Mary Dekle I suppose she and I are cousins! On my fraternal grandmother Martha Mozelle Rountre (Married Hattaway) was the daughter of Isaac "Ike" Rountree and Sarah J.G. Youmans, and the grandaughter of Manning Randolph Rountree b 27 Jan 1818 m Lucinda Durden b 10Nov 1818, Lucinda's parents were William Casper Durden b 1775 and Mary Dekle b 1784 who's parents were John Leonard Dekle b 1737 and Sallie Grissom b 1740 and John Leonards father was Baron Charles von Delkle! How 'bout dat??? |I will leave it up to you to tell me whath cousinths we are. Our friend, family physician and Godfather to our youngest, is Joel Stewart Dekle and has two "Dekle Books" that are out of print. One is older than the other and he has offered to lend them to me for a limited time. I think he's very protective of them (I don't blame him") and I think he might hold Miriam (our youngest) for ransom until and I'll have to redeem her by returning his books. I'm willing to sign in blood to get to see them, tho! Please do let me know your daughter in law's name and whether or not she descends from Mary! Isn't working on this stuff fun! And frustrating, and exasperating and thank goodness rewarding now and then!!! We're having a cold, gloomy, wet Sunday. We did get to church but instead of eating out as we usually do, we decided to just come home for pot roast which was waiting in the refrigerator. I love eating out so it must be a mess out there to make such a decision! Hope Atlanta weather is better! I'll look forward to hearing from you AND from my new COUSIN! Blessings! Jane
