Yep. "The Young Family of Georgia", A. C. Felton, 1955, Revised Edition. Remer Young (1826-1888) married 2nd SARAH FRANCES GOLDWIRE. She was born November 19, 1838, and died June 10, 1907. She is buried in Valdosta, Georgia. Perhaps someone can add more to this as now there are dates of her life. Curious to know any details on Archibald Thompson McIntyr. My Thompson line involves an Archibald Thompson b. circa 1780 in probably Effingham County. He and seven siblings (apparently) dispersed into Bryan, Bulloch and Tattnall counties. No solid leads on the parents of these Thompson siblings. But I have noticed the frequent appearance of Goldwire names in tracing these siblings, especially in Effingham and Beard's Creek Church records (of Tattnall Co.). I have also been led to believe that the name Thompson may have been an Americanized form of McTavish or other Scot-Irish name. Thus, I am curious if one would know how this Archibald Thompson McIntyr acquired his name. Or perhaps his parentage might hold a clue. Any help appreciated. Was Archibald Thompson McIntyr born in Bulloch?
