Dear Tony, I am also looking for information on an Archibald THOMPSON, born about 1794. I'm not sure where he was born. could be south carolina. I believe he died about 1829, in Bryan county. can't find him on any census past then. From another researcher i learned that he was possibly listed as one of a group of heirs selling land in 1819 to a Mr. Martin. these were the brothers: John, william, richard, Benjamin, Soloman, Thomas B., and the youngest was Archibald. I have not been able to determine for sure who Archibald's parents were. there is the possibility of the father being a James THOMPSON. Aside from all of that, i'd like to find out who Archibald was married to. I'm related to a Richard THOMPSON, born about 1818 in GA, married to Johanna BALL in 1842. Richard's mother was Julia Thompson. in the 1830 census there is a Mrs. J. Thompson, who could be Julia, and who could also be the widow of Archibald, but i can't find the missing link. can you shed any light on this for me? thanks, Gloria Bueschel
