    2. are you talking about popular springs up in the back woods above portal ?? i`ve been there a few times,,other than the cemetery records?? have read the minutes of the church they are on micro film at the state archives,,my deceased wifes grands are buried there ,henry davis,and his wife God Bless, John

    3. John, yes that is the location I am talking about. There is a web site that has the entire cemetery listed (as of October 1980.) Where are the state archives located? Since there are several members of my husband's family buried there I would be interested in seeing if there are any mention of any of them in the minutes.     3. I am trying to find data on the Thomas William Daley family. He was shown in 1880 census as being born in SC. His tome stone at Upper Mill Creek Church Cemetery reads - born Nov 1850 - died 29 Aug 1907. Married 1873. His wife was known as "Nannie" surname not known. She was also born in SC. born 31 Dec 1852 - died 12 Dec 1909. Their children were: William R "Willie", Apr 1875, Tish, born May 1876 (married Charles Woodcock). Lilly May, born Oct 1877, died 1972, married Mr ? Jackson (2 daughters May and Lois). Jessey, born ca 1879, Almon, born Jun 1884, Carrie born 04 Oct 1889, died 13 Apr 1908, (My Great Grandmother), married Bennie E Woodcock, 1903, 1 children: Bessie P, born 1905, died 2000. Cecil Ernest Woodcock, born 04 Feb 1908 - died 24 Jul 1986. Dock (not sure if this is name or nickname) born Sep 1891. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Edward Breland
