George, I agree with Smith that Maggie Banks is the same person as Margaret Banks, dau. of Simeon C., Sr. and Martha Streagle Banks. As far as Mittie E. Banks, it is very probable that she is the illegitimate dau. of Maggie, however, I believe there are other possibilities within the larger Banks family (I am curious about Lavinia Banks). Just wish we could connect a possible father; (which is why I would be interested in knowing what the 1870 Bulloch census shows as to neighboring families.) I don't have a copy of the census. The census files I previously mentioned were referenced by another Banks researcher. Guess I'll just have to hope some info from a family bible or family letters turns up. In the 1880 Bulloch Co. census reference to Henry M. Banks: I believe he is Henry McQueen Banks, son of Cuyler Banks. His wife, I believe, is Martha Clifford, b. abt 1856, GA. I have NFI on Martha Clifford. The Catherine referenced, I believe is Catherine Streagler Banks, wife (or widow) of Cuyler Banks. William & Thaddeous would be Henry McQueen Banks's first cousins and Martha Clifford Banks' brothers-in-law. The reference to Martha "head of family", 38 w/grdau. Mittie age 7: I believe this to be Martha Streagle Banks, widow of Simeon C. Banks. I also believe her age here is an error on the census and should be 58 instead of 38. She was supposedly living next door to Henry Mc Banks, Simeon's nephew. The 1900 Bulloch Co. census: Perry Morgan Hodges is my grandfather and his wife is Mittie Eugenia. (You listed "Minnie E.", don't know if that is a typo by you or an error on the census. I have all of the info on Mittie Eugenia Banks & the Hodges family beginning with her marriage abt. 1889 to Perry M.(Toad) Hodges. My father is Charlie Morgan Hodges, child #7 of 8 of Perry & Mittie Hodges. So far, I have nothing on Ezra Waters and Maggie Banks. I recently came across Keziah McElveen Flake when I was posting the Wm Emanuel McElveen descendents to my database. Good Luck! Kathy
