One more comment on the Zoar Mission. I'm a United Methodist pastor orginally from Bulloch County. Growing up a Methodist there were four churches on the "Charge" which included a church near Clito called Eureka. The church is torn down now but the cemetery is well kept. According to the history of Eureka Methodist Church, it was organized in 1890 in a school, some of the teachers served as pastors. In 1910, Eureka was head of the Eureka Circuit. In 1949, the individual churches on the Eureka Circuit are listed as Eureka, Langston, Marion, and Williams Chapel. This is probably more information than you asked for, but according to some of the responses, the Zoar Mission could have later been called Eureka Methodist Church, although that is not in the written history of the church. At least they seem to be in the same area. Larry E. Bird <>< Hawkinsville, Ga. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
