Searching for any info on parents of my grandmother, Mittie Eugenia BANKS. Only info I have is from 1880 Bulloch Co. , Dist. 48 census (secondary source) that shows Mittie BANKS, age 7, living with grandmother, Martha BANKS. This Martha appears to be Martha Jane ANDREWS BANKS, the widow of John Truman BANKS, but could be Martha STREAGLE BANKS, widow of Simeon Callaway BANKS of Emanuel, Bryan, & Bulloch Co. Mittie BANKS mar. Perry Morgan HODGES abt. 1889 and lived in the Nevils community of Bulloch Co. Any help or leads from anyone will be greatly appreciated! Kathy Hodges McElveen

Kathy, I have no information regarding Mitie Eugenia Banks. I have been searching for information on the sister of Simeon Callaway Banks, Maggie F. Banks, and their parents. Maggie and her husband Ezra N. Waters are my great uncle and aunt. The following information is all I have on Ezra and Maggie. I would appreciate obtaining any information that you might have. 1900 Bulloch County, Georgia Census, 1547 Emit District, Sheet 10, Line 87: Waters, Ezra N. head August 1868 31 m. 7 yrs. farmer Maggie F. wife June 1861 48 (38?) Arnie son Dec. 1895 4 "Births, Marriages and Deaths From Bulloch County, Georgia, Newspapers, 1889-1916, Volume I", Page 38. Issue of July 18, 1902, Died - Mrs. Martha Banks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ezra Waters, last week. She was the mother of Mr. Simeon Banks of the Sinkhold district, and about 74 years old. Source: Bulloch County, Georgia Marriage Record Book G, page 47: E. N. Waters married Maggie F. Banks on April 6, 1893 in Bulloch County. Ezra N. Waters is the oldest son of George W. Waters and Pharisee Rushing of Bulloch County, Georgia. They are all buried in Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Statesboro, Georgia along with other members of their family..
