Hi Al. I have a question about the following Donaldson family. Do you know who James Donaldson, Sr.'s father was? I was inputting the John Donalson-Peel (different spelling for Donaldson) Bible last night. His family married into my Youngs from Screven County, and they ended up in Decatur County, Brooks, Thomas and lower south GA counties. Several lines have the Nevils line with the Henderson Michael Henderson line, and I'm still trying to prove one way or the other. Do you have any inclinations one way or the other about this? Sheila, The marriage record came from the Bulloch County Marriage Records. Do you have Mrs. Register's Book "Bulloch County, Georgia, Genealogical Source Material" ? If you do, it is on page 231. I also looked in the Bulloch 1860 census and found him with his family at age 8. He married in 1868 to Vinia Barnes. The marriage records could be found in our Library or in the Probate Judge office in Statesboro. We do have very good genealogical material in our Library. You would be very welcome to come and see and enjoy it. The name Hart is a very promient name in Bulloch. The other set of wives probably came later. Bonnie, can I ask where you found this info? I have searched Ancestry.com and Rootsweb.com and several others but find very little in marriage records. We live in Augusta but I may take a day off work and come down to Statesboro/Bulloch County as I am sure there is lots of info in the library there.
